Requirements
High school diploma or GED
At least one year of experience working with health insurance and benefits checks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receives referrals and takes new patient information, enter patient information into fusion
Maintain and monitor waiting list and update families of status and as needed.
Scan all patient documentation into fusion.
Obtain initial scripts and sends requests to doctor office if the script has expired prior to the evaluation date. Follows up with doctor if the script has not been received within 48hours.
Maintains a log documenting attempts to acquire initial scripts and enters case notes into fusion.
Once initial evaluation authorization notification has been received, schedule initial evaluation; maintain a log and documents completion of parent meeting Notifies authorization specialist when evaluations have been completed by the therapist.
