Requirements
Education
-
Graduate from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy

Hold a current license as a Occupational Therapist issued by the state of Kentucky
License/Certification

Obtain and maintain annual CPR/First Aid certification, TB Screening, and background checks

Duties and Responsibilities
Purpose: Deliver quality, evidence based occupational therapy to as many children as possible at The Kid SpOt Center in order to meet goals outlined in their Plans of Care and increase overall independence.
Clinical Responsibilities:

Maintain KY state licensure

Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluation and tests results.

Provide quality care by developing and updating as necessary Plans of Care that are relevant and meaningful to the child and their family

Provide quality, evidence based therapeutic activities to address goals outlined on Plan of Care

Complete all required documentation in a timely manner as outlined in policy
-
Complete required updates for Progress Notes and Re-Assessments as outlined on Fusion to-do list

Distribute Evaluations, Progress Notes, Re-Assessments, and Discharge documents as outlined in policy.

Complete Discharge documents once child has mastered all goals and no longer has a need for continued therapy

Complete daily billing sheet

Develop and distribute homework one time per month per child

Develop and maintain parent/professional relationship while child is client at The Kid SpOt Center
-
Track cancellations and collaborate with PSC to schedule make-up appointments
-
Complete supervision with COTA’s as outlined in state regulations and company policy
-
Complete supervision with any OT/OTA students
-
Collaborate with other professionals at The Kid SpOt Center to ensure treatment of the whole child
-
Maintain binder of patient information as outlined in company policy

When appropriate, provides telehealth services, following all KSC policies regarding telehealth
